Terms of Use
Acceptance
By downloading or using EchoPulse, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
EchoPulse is operated by Khurram Ayubi Butt, an individual based in Canada. Questions can be sent to khurram.ayubi@yahoo.com.
Who can use EchoPulse
You must be at least 13 years old to use EchoPulse. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
EchoPulse is designed for exactly two people. Each account can be connected to one other person at a time.
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Do not share your credentials. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorised access to your account.
You may use Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or email and password to authenticate. We rely on those providers for the security of the sign-in flow itself.
What you can and cannot do
EchoPulse is built on restraint. Use it for what it is.
- You may send one pulse per day, update it throughout the day, send wordless ripples, attach photos you own or have the right to share, and use the app for its intended purpose: quiet, honest connection with one person.
- You may not use the app to harass, threaten, or harm another person — including your partner.
- You may not upload content you do not own or have the right to share, including photos, text, or song information.
- You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the app or its backend.
- You may not use EchoPulse for any commercial purpose or on behalf of any organisation.
Your content
You own the content you create — your notes, your photos, your words. By submitting content to EchoPulse, you grant us a limited licence to store and display it to your partner, solely for the purpose of operating the app.
You are responsible for the content you share. Do not share photos or notes that you would not want someone else to see, and do not share content that belongs to others without permission.
EchoPulse keeps everything. Deleting your account does not automatically delete pulse content from the thread record — this is the same design principle that ensures your partner's history of you does not disappear. If you want specific content removed, email us.
One connection
EchoPulse is intentionally limited to one connection at a time. This constraint is the product. Attempting to circumvent it — by creating multiple accounts, using automated tools, or any other means — is a violation of these terms and may result in account termination.
Privacy
Your use of EchoPulse is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. By using the app, you acknowledge and agree to how we collect and use your data as described there.
Termination
You can stop using EchoPulse at any time. To delete your account, email khurram.ayubi@yahoo.com.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, use the app in a way that harms others, or if we discontinue the service. We will make reasonable efforts to give notice where possible.
Disclaimers
EchoPulse is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be available at all times, error-free, or that data will never be lost.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, the "last updated" date at the top of this page changes. Continued use of EchoPulse after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If we make significant changes, we will do our best to notify you through the app.
